The goal is to control insulin and become fat adapted. The carnivore diet is a great way to help people who have autoimmune issues, overcome eating issues, and to help people lose a lot of weight. People usually think of this diet as just eating meat but there are different ways to do it and, here is how we teach it. This is a diet as close to zero carb as possible

WHAT OBSTACLES COULD YOU EXPERIENCE WHILE ON THIS DIET?
  • Detox diarrhea & headaches for the first 2 weeks
  • Food cravings for 2-3 weeks as you adjust
  • Strict foods list & more repetitive foods
  • No alcohol consumption
HOW LONG SHOULD YOU FOLLOW THIS DIET ROADMAP
  • There is no true limitation to length
  • Minimum of 90 days
    • Could take anywhere from 90 days to 180 days to become fat adapted
  • If struggling with an autoimmune issue I would recommend staying on this until your symptoms have cleared up for at least a few consecutive months
  • Many people do want to re-enter carbs back into their diet which is totally fine at some point so whenever you get to the point you are struggling with meat only, going to a keto diet is a good progression.

TIPS FOR THIS DIET

  • Eat mainly fatty meats, it helps with hunger and help metabolize fat
  • Eat to fullness at each meal
  • Drink 4000mg sodium a day in 1st two weeks
  • You can eat out, just order meat only and lots of it

  • Mainly my goal is just to show one of the diet road maps we offer here at GCP. Our goal is to help give tools to help people achieve long term fat loss.
  • There are different variations of carnivore and each version has it’s purpose. Sometimes we do need to go more strict such as meat only based on food control issues or severe autoimmune issues.
  • If I did have one main point, our diets aren’t short term fixes. They are long term diets meant to change lives and help people lose weight over time. So all the diets we recommend take a minimum of 90 days to actually start seeing real long term benefit and are designed for this to be a forever type of eating lifestyle.
